Using the Reading Plan window

When a new reader environment is selected, there is no reading plan selected.  To select a reading plan, select from the menu: Reading Plan - New Plan.

An Open File dialog box will appear.  Select the desired reading plan, then press the "Open" button.

The reading plan will load and initialize.  This process may take a few second as the computer takes the general rules in the reading plan template and changes it into Bible verses to be read on specific dates.  The following will then be displayed:

This shows the first reading assignment.  There are two main ways to tell the computer that you have completed the reading assignment:

• By double-clicking on the reading assignment line.  The following shows the window after double-clicking on the word Genesis:

• The entire day's assignment may be "checked off" with a single mouse click by using the menu: Reading Plan - Finished Reading:

Notice that finished reading assignments are green.  Also notice that the progress in the reading plan is displayed at the bottom of the window.
